:: FRIENDS :: TV Show of the Day

.."I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour..."

Friends is one of the most popular TV shows of all time with it's famous one liners, hilarious characters and iconic moments. Who can ever forget Ross and Rachel and their rollarcoaster relationship that TV fell in love with, or Chandler and Monica who by fate ended up happily married. What about Joey's "How you doin'?" phrase that spread across the globe like wild fire, or Phoebe's crazy outfits. No matter what age you are, your skin colour or your gender, you have most probably watched Friends at one point in your life and maybe like me, you're a slight addict. For all those fellow fans, I've uploaded some of those hilarious moments in the show that we'll always remember.

Sorry What!?! Justin Bieber is Releasing A Movie?

I....am...speechless!

Just before you thought Bieber fever couldn't get any more ridiculous....there is a movie being released in February this year all about his life (I wouldn't call it that) and road to fame.
And wait for it....it's in 3D! Oh the joy!
I've included all three different posters for the movie for your viewing pleasure.
The saddest part of this whole thing is that the movie won't flop; millions of starry-eyed girls will flock to see this movie, and I must admit that even I might crumble under social pressures and end up watching the movie.

:: Steve Hanks :: Artist of the Day

While browsing the web aimlessly, a sort of daily ritual, I stumbled across this phenomenal watercolour artist. His name is Steve Hanks, and don't worry, I'm not going to bore you with his biography. All I'm going to say about him is that his work is astounding, and he is "one of the best watercolourists of our time". I haven't seen such incredible realism in regard to proportion, tone and style in a long time.
His work is similar to Fragonard's in a sense, yet also unique in itself. A South African artist that exudes the same calabre of talent is Dorothy Kay. Her work has the best photographic realism I have seen from a South African artist. When I one day purchase a home, I would definitely want my walls to be covered with the likes of these two magnificent artists.

Why I Hate The Snowball Effect ...

Let me explain...as this could get confusing. The snowball effect is an 'umbrella' term for any action that causes another and thereafter another etc. My title is not general, as it only pertains to the snowball effect that occurs when one appliance in your house breaks. All the other appliances collectively decide to break simultaneously, causing mass hysteria on my part. It is as if they're all in on some conspiracy against my wallet!
It all started when our computer broke...you see this in itself wasn't surprisingly at all, because it had been under terrible abuse over the years by my deranged father. But then just as the dust is settling, literally, my trusty 'state of the art' (well in comparison) monitor goes and breaks...probably saw the fate of it's father.
Honestly technology! How can something be so amazingly wonderful and yet so incredibly annoying and unreliable. I wonder sometimes if there is some truth in what people are muttering to themselves...maybe technology is from the devil. I told my monitor to go to hell, so maybe that's why he up and left me to return to his maker.
I had hoped that some gentle persuasion might get my Samsung (I know, I should have seen this coming) monitor working again, but my persistent slapping was to no avail in the end. I think I'm just going to have to accept that technology is ultimately against us all, and all we can do is sit back and wait for it to take over the world.

:: Joanne Kitten :: Designer of the Day

While browsing attentively through the thousands of eBay clothing stores, I came across an item that caught my attention. After staring blankly at the screen for a few minutes, completely in awe of this amazing discovery, I noticed the brand or designer name in the bottom right corner...Joanne Kitten.
I had to find out who this wonderful creator of fashion was, so naturally I turned to the all-powerful Google, and it didn't let me down. I was suddenly bombarded with over a million results, most of them Asian websites selling cheap copies of her work, but I don't discriminate; at the ridiculous prices they're offering I will definitely take another look.
I come upon a site called www.fashion4us.com and it showcases various Asian clothing brands that range from items that even Amy Winehouse would mock, to top high end fashion that looks as if they just came off the catwalk. I seriously underestimated the online clothing market and I will not be making that mistake again.
Check out these jaw-dropping prices!

Joanne Kitten, as a brand, offers high end fashion at consumer prices. I have never found a designer that's so consistent in her style; I love nearly every outfit of hers. Her modern, minimilistic taste is elegant and classy, yet in the same breath, hip and youthful.
