Why I Hate The Snowball Effect ...

Let me explain...as this could get confusing. The snowball effect is an 'umbrella' term for any action that causes another and thereafter another etc. My title is not general, as it only pertains to the snowball effect that occurs when one appliance in your house breaks. All the other appliances collectively decide to break simultaneously, causing mass hysteria on my part. It is as if they're all in on some conspiracy against my wallet!
It all started when our computer broke...you see this in itself wasn't surprisingly at all, because it had been under terrible abuse over the years by my deranged father. But then just as the dust is settling, literally, my trusty 'state of the art' (well in comparison) monitor goes and breaks...probably saw the fate of it's father.
Honestly technology! How can something be so amazingly wonderful and yet so incredibly annoying and unreliable. I wonder sometimes if there is some truth in what people are muttering to themselves...maybe technology is from the devil. I told my monitor to go to hell, so maybe that's why he up and left me to return to his maker.
I had hoped that some gentle persuasion might get my Samsung (I know, I should have seen this coming) monitor working again, but my persistent slapping was to no avail in the end. I think I'm just going to have to accept that technology is ultimately against us all, and all we can do is sit back and wait for it to take over the world.
